NAPST 2025 Tournament

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is proud to announce that it will host the 44th Annual North American Police Soccer Tournament (NAPST) on September 10th to 12th, 2025, in Ottawa.

This event will bring together police officers from across North America to compete in a series of soccer matches designed to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and physical fitness among law enforcement officers. Additionally, the tournament aims to support the community, with all proceeds being donated to the National Capital Blues Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting at-risk youth in Ottawa through sports, education, and community initiatives.

Chief Stubbs fully supports this event, stating, "The NAPST highlights our commitment to giving back to the community. By participating in and supporting this tournament, teams and sponsors are making a direct impact on the lives of young people, helping to create opportunities for a brighter future."

Teams interested in participating can register by visiting our online team registration form. For those wishing to volunteer, please reach out to napst2025@ottawapolice.ca

Who We Are

The National Capital Blues Foundation (NCBF) is a registered Canadian charity (Charitable Number: 770696821RR0001) dedicated to empowering youth in Ottawa. Founded by frontline officers and community members, we believe every child deserves access to opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and leadership—regardless of their circumstances.

What We Do

With the support of sponsors and community partners, the NCBF runs free and accessible programs that touch hundreds of young lives every year:

  • Junior Blues Soccer Program ⚽ — Free 8-week program for at-risk youth aged 8–16, including coaching, mentorship, a team shirt, water bottle, and donated sports equipment; blending soccer with workshops on teamwork, resilience, and healthy living.
  • Community Outreach & Wellness 💙 — Equipment, mentorship, and safe spaces in partnership with schools and local organizations.
  • Grow a Writer Contest ✍️ — Literacy & creativity initiative; participants receive a free book and winners are published and awarded bursaries.
  • Rising Stars Gala 🌟 — Annual celebration of youth achievement with bursaries for educational goals.

Why It Matters

When you sponsor the North American Police Soccer Tournament (NAPST), you’re not only supporting the event—you’re investing in Ottawa’s youth. Every dollar raised goes directly into programs that:

  • Remove barriers to participation in sports and the arts
  • Build resilience and leadership skills
  • Provide mentorship and positive role models
